Thought first, ground underneath. You do not enjoy vagueness and you have built a life with unusually little of it — you check, you verify, you would rather have the accurate bad news than the comfortable version.
People bring you decisions because you will not flatter them. The cost is that certainty takes you a while, and while you are getting there the world sometimes moves.
A compass does not tell you where to go. It tells you which way you are facing, which turns out to be the harder and more useful thing. You supply that for the people around you more often than they say.
