The World

The World

You want the whole of it, finished.

Half-done things sit badly with you. It is not perfectionism exactly — it is that you can see how the parts are supposed to fit, and a version missing a piece reads to you as unfinished rather than good enough.

You are the one who stays until the end, and who notices that most people leave slightly before it. That has given you a small number of genuinely completed things, which is rarer than a long list of started ones.

The World is the last card, and it is not a card about arrival so much as integration — the pieces finally in one shape. You have done that at least once. You know what it took, and you know you can do it again.
